Yesterday, Echoing Green announced its newest class of fellows.
Among them is a rising star of national service, Nick Ehrmann, founder of Blue Engine — an emerging corps tackling college readiness issues by ramping up academic support for high school freshmen in New York City.
This spring, Ehrmann (himself an alum of Teach For America) recruited his first corps of fellows who will come together in August and start intensive, small-group tutoring in Algebra 1, a critical subject.
Echoing Green supports social entrepreneurs who are working towards innovative, high-impact, bold solutions to the world’s most intractable problems by offering its visionaries start-up funding, access to a global network of social entrpreneurs, and hands on training & support, during a two-year fellowship. Needless to say, perhaps, the fellowship is extremely competitive.
Here is Nick, explaining his “bold idea”:
Congrats, Nick!!
